EVO 2600 SW — Stilling Well Adapter

Overview

EVO 2600 SW

The evo2600 SW Stilling Well Adapter is a purpose-built accessory that enables accurate installation of the evo2600 Radar Level Gauge inside stilling wells or guide tubes. It is designed for terminal operators, project engineers, maintenance planners, and EPC specifiers who need reliable radar measurement in tanks affected by turbulence, foam, vapor, or internal movement.
The adapter allows the evo2600 to be installed into existing stilling wells or float-and-tape couplings without adding new nozzles or taking tanks out of service. Unlike improvised field modifications, the evo2600 SW is engineered to maintain proper radar signal alignment, minimize echo loss, and preserve tank integrity. Its sectional design supports tank-specific lengths and simplifies installation in both retrofit and new applications.
By ensuring consistent radar performance in challenging conditions, the evo2600 SW Adapter helps operators achieve stable, accurate inventory measurement while reducing installation cost, downtime, and long-term maintenance risk.

FAQs

We have tried to answer the most common questions we are asked here.

In tanks with turbulence, foam, or floating roofs, stilling wells stabilize the liquid surface. The evo2600 SW Adapter ensures the radar signal is properly coupled inside the well, preserving accuracy and reliability.
Yes. The evo2600 SW is specifically designed to fit into existing float & tape couplings, allowing radar upgrades without new nozzles or tank modifications.
No. The evo2600 SW can be installed while the tank remains in service, reducing downtime and operational impact.
316 stainless steel is standard. Additional materials may be available depending on application requirements.
No. The evo2600 SW is engineered specifically for use with the evo2600 Radar Level Gauge to ensure proper alignment and performance.

Yes. The adapter is specifically designed to fit common stilling well diameters (4″ to 24″) and mounting flanges, simplifying the retrofit process. By adapting the evo2600 to your existing infrastructure, you can gain modern radar accuracy without the high cost of full tank modifications.

No. The adapter is engineered to optimize the radar signal path within the stilling well. This careful design ensures that the evo2600’s intrinsic 3mm accuracy is preserved, even in challenging internal tank conditions.
